Welcome back to our South West Four 2019 'SW4 Selects' series, where we will be featuring the artists who will be joining us on Clapham Common this August Bank Holiday weekend. We will be asking them questions all around their performance and what they have in store for you this summer at SW4.
In #7 and our final selects of the 2019 series, we have the London born innovative star that is Elderbrook, who will be joining us this year at SW4 for his debut on Day One. Elderbrook is also embarking on his biggest tour to date this autumn with his ONLY UK stop at EartH in Hackney on Sat Oct 12th. Join us at the event and find out all the info HERE
We caught up with both Elderbrook ahead of his SW4 performance, and he has provided some key insight into what we can expect from their performance and the world of Elderbrook. Read below...
Hi Elderbrook, where in the world are you currently and what was the last gig that you played?
Im in France at the moment in between festivals. Last show was in Austria at Szene Openair Festival and about to head to Budapest for Sziget festival.
How is the world of Elderbrook currently, and how has summer 2019 been for you?
Its been amazing! I love festivals and festival season. Ive just been bopping about from one to the next and writing in between.
You regularly play shows in across Europe, but how do the crowds differ from other cities to your hometown?
I love traveling and seeing new places but coming back to London is always special. London was the first city I ever played in, the place i’ve performed in most, the place I’ve written a lot of music and a place I’ve lived in for a long time!
Do you have a favourite city, or venue, to perform in?
Obviously London is my hometown but other than that I love playing in America. It was always a dream of mine to be able to play in the states and I love doing it still!
Got any up and coming DJs you want to recommend and give a shout out to now?
I’d like to shout out Camelphat please.
Who are you most excited to be sharing a stage with at SW4 this August?
What is the future for Elderbrook? Is there a definitive project in place or are you just continuing to enjoy the success and see where it goes?
I’ve been writing constantly for a really long time and, though i love putting music out there as much as possible, there is an album coming together that will be out next year!
Lastly what can you promise fans heading to the festival, anything special or any special guests possibly?
I can promise that I’m going to be bouncing all over the stage AND i can promise brand new music!
