Bringing White Isle ideals to South West London will be the Carl Cox & Friends Arena. Made famous by his pioneering residency at Space in Ibiza, Carl will be joined by the most forward thinking acts in underground house and techno. In 2013 Carl Cox & Friends has hosted stages at many of the world’s most popular festivals such as Ultra, Tomorrowland and Awakenings. Hot off the heels of his ‘Evolution’ stage at SW4 2012, Paul van Dyk returns to host an arena in our 10th Anniversary year, this time showcasing his latest project: Politics of Dancing 3. Coming as the third installment of Paul’s landmark mix series and the first in eight years, ‘Politics of Dancing 3’ will officially launch at South West Four, as Paul plays host to the biggest trance lineup seen in London this year. The iconic German will be joined by Paul Oakenfold, Aly & Fila, W&W, Orjan Nilsen, newly crowned Radio1 DJ Simon Patterson, Super8 & Tab, plus a very special back-to-back set from Andy Moor & Lange.

Sunday will witness some of the most energetic performances seen at SW4 2013, as UKF returns to host the main stage. Expect an overload of the senses as Example brings the curtain down on the stage, marking an emotional homecoming in the process. Crazed performances can be expected from Knife Party, Steve Aoki, Nicky Romero and Andy C, whilst trap sensations Baauer, Dillon Francis and RL Grime will help ensure our main stage remains the focal point of the festival. With Benji B’s 16 piece ‘Deviation Strings’ orchestra, Friction & Friends and Kove completing the lineup, the Sunday main stage promises to be rocking from start to finish.

The world’s undisputed ambassador for electronic music and true SW4 favourite Pete Tong returns to host his own arena, as his love affair with South West Four continues. His arena at SW4 2012 proved one of the highlights of the weekend welcoming many of the leading lights in house music. Since then All Gone have hosted showcases at Miami WMC and Amsterdam Dance Event, as well as tour the States. For All Gone’s return to London, Pete brings with him Groove Armada, playing their first London festival performance outside of Lovebox in over a decade. Erick Morillo, Scuba, Dusky and Blond:ish will also make the All Gone arena goes off in true style.

Not only is the night returning to the legendary Amnesia in Ibiza for a mammoth fifteen date summer residency, but Together will also arrive at South West Four to showcase the UK’s finest electronic artists. One of our favourite SW4 2013 debutants has been busy on the mixing desk again.

Following Baauer’s last remix of Aluna George’s ‘Catching Flies’, the latest track to go under his knife is Disclosure’s ‘You & Me’ including lyrics courtesy of Eliza Doolittle. Disclosure’s original is an incredibly catchy soft house beat set to storm the charts like their previous track ‘White Noise. Then, just when you didn’t think it could get any better, Baauer’s remix has dropped. In complete contrast it has a drum and bass feel with a broken beat running throughout. Instead of drops we’re given a vocal highlight, proving Baauer’s diversity as a producer.

This weekend South West Four heads East to host two preview shows at Shoreditch’s #1 disco XOYO. Both nights have sold out of advanced tickets although a limited number have been kept to sell on the door from 9pm. The man behind the beastly track ‘Harlem Shake’ returns to London this weekend as one of the hottest new names to emerge over the past twelve months. With a packed schedule upcoming including performances at Coachella, Sonar, Hideout and South West Four, Baauer’s performances outside the intimate settings of XOYO will be few and far between in 2013, marking this night in the ‘red hot’ category.
